Parents may gain valuable insights and techniques from the expertise of the staff and at the same time share their own insights talents and interests so that we work together to create a warm dynamic learning environment at Brooklyn Free Space.

This involvement enables the children to see their parents as important and involved members of the school community. We value the active involvement of families in our program both through cooperative and classroom participation including community activities regular Parent-Teacher Conferences and Classroom Community Forums. Working from the level each child has attained (keeping in mind the childвЂ™s learning styles and interests) and moving forward a step at a time we teach a love of learning by allowing them to feel success without pressure. Recognizing that children grow in predictable stages we treat each child as an individual. Schedules are designed to balance structure and free choice as well as active and quiet times.

Activities emphasize the process rather than the product fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.Д«ased on the knowledge that children learn best through play classroom routines encourage active involvement meaningful experimentation and reinforcement through diversity and repetition. Sensory motor perceptual and language skills are introduced through learning themes materials and activities that are both child-centered and teacher-directed. As we create a bridge from home to school we guide the children through the continual development of positive self-image while building social skills in a school setting. The Executive Educational Director is responsible for the overall. In a caring and positive atmosphere we create a warm and happy place for preschoolers to learn. Brooklyn Free Space is seeking an Executive Educational Director to begin in Summer 2021.
